Voice Recital Program

Well, I cant read that, so I suppose you can either. I will type it in later, as I have run out of time right now.

  1. You don't need to type it up -- if you click the picture it brings up an enlarged image.

That must have been a wonderful recital -- what a beautiful range of pieces! I love that Saint-Saens piece. I know a little Purcell, but I hadn't realized he'd written lyrics too.

Wish I could have been there.

  2. Oh, Kelly! That would have been a neat surprise to have met you there :)

I, too, enjoy the Delila aria....very wooing melody.

Are you an alto or soprano?

  3. Oh Dana, you must be so proud!

Now, go figure out how to audio tape your daughter so we can be blessed by her voice too :o)

  4. Contralto -- though my range is a little wider than the definition. I can sing down to D below middle C fairly easily, and I can just reach high F, when I'm warmed up.

Not to say that range is the same thing as a good voice -- I could never be a soloist, but I do love to sing. The two oldest kids and I are singing in Handel's Israel in Egypt this spring, which is the first cantata I've done since I married. Actually I'm not sure I'm going to be able to manage the performance as my asthma is getting in the way. But I'm really enjoying the rehearsals.
