We Sing to Him
We sing to him whose wisdom form'd the ear.
Our songs, let him who gave us voices, hear.
We joy in God who is the spring of mirth.
Who loves the harmony of heav'n and earth;
Our humble sonnets shall his praise rehearse,
Who is the music of the universe.
And whilst we sing we consecrate our art.
And offer up with ev'ry tongue a heart.

Is it! How'd I miss that?
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, Dana!
April's a lovely month to be born in -- my oldest will be nineteen on the 29th.
Thanks, Kelly. The best birthday present was hearing DD sing so well. After all the serious ones at the beginning, the second half contained some humerous songs and then she finished with Ella's rendition of Somewhere over the Rainbow....very touching.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you enjoying singing so much. We do to!
