'Hidden art' is found in the 'minor' areas of life. By 'minor' I (Edith Schaeffer)mean what is involved in the 'everyday' of anyone's life, rather than his career or profession. Each person has some talent which is unfulfilled in some 'hidden area' of his being, and which could be expressed and developed.
I got scared and cooked both turkeys. I figured it was better to have too much, than not enough. And it was a good thing, 'cause earlier in the day, I discovered that there were 3 more men invited than I had previously been informed about. So I added more potatoes to the pot too. Lots of leftovers.
We fed a Hindu man from India, a man from Cuba, one from England, a couple from Alabama :-), and some others. Quite the international meal!! We had a wonderful time!

Dana, where did you find such a nice, complete set of pilgrims and indians? A great-looking centerpiece.
ReplyDeleteOh, Lisa, those figurines belong to my mother. We were at her home for Tgiving.
ReplyDeleteShe has had those figurines for at least twenty years. They were made in the Phillipines for Sylvestri.
They are very authentic-looking.
Well they are very lovely, Dana. Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving.
