Happy New Year!!

Collard Greens

Black-eyed Peas

are cooking on the stove in preparation for our traditional dinner. Sweet potatoes are baking in the bottom oven, while a fresh ham has been roasting S.L.O.W.L.Y. in the top one since yesterday.

All the Christmas decorations are put away.

January first is a good day for rest, relaxation, and reflection.

And maybe a little football.

Watching, not playing :)

  1. I was hoping to do some collard greens and black eyed peas this year but I'm not sure if I will. We're all recovering for our wild and crazy Hillsdale style party last night. Hope you have a restful day!

  2. You are the hostess with the mostest in my book. Kudos for have folks over and staying in!

No cooking today... altho if you lived nearby, I would feed you :)
